Garlic treatment improves UAP symptoms
A clinical investigation on garlicin injectio for treatment of unstable angina pectoris and its actions on plasma endothelin and blood sugar levels.
Significant effects observed in study
We investigated the potential benefits of garlic treatment for those suffering from unstable angina pectoris (UAP). In our study, 34 participants received garlicin injection at a daily dose of 60 mg via intravenous drip for 10 days. To compare results, 21 other participants were treated with nitroglycerine as a control.
Our findings were promising; we observed that 82% of those treated with garlicin saw improvements in their symptoms, and 62% experienced positive changes on their electrocardiograms. Additionally, garlicin treatment appeared to lower plasma endothelin and blood sugar levels, especially in individuals with high blood sugar.
Overall, garlicin shows potential as a therapeutic option for managing chest pain associated with unstable angina. However, it is essential to consider that the control group received nitroglycerine, which could affect how we interpret garlic's isolated effects.
